A longtime resident of Oklahoma City, Timothy Norton is experienced in developing new business, training sales staff, and creating marketing initiatives. Fulfilling sales positions for pharmaceutical concerns since 1995, Timothy Norton prides himself on strong customer service. He is currently a healthcare account executive for ECOLAB, an Oklahoma City-based company that focuses on food safety, infection prevention, and other areas. His client base includes hospital executives and clinicians.
Previously, Mr. Norton served as the business sales director at Compassus, which offers palliative and hospice care. He expanded the number of patients the company serves and educated communities and families on the services offered.
He has also served as the territory sales manager for ISTA Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for informing optometrists and ophthalmologists about the company’s product lines. During his tenure, his region jumped from 103rd place to 26th place out of 105. He previously found success as the senior territory manager for Amylin Pharmaceuticals, boosting the diabetes medication company’s market share by 150 percent.
Timothy Norton came to Amylin from Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, where he exceeded all sales goals for two years running. Prior to Schering-Plough, he was a sales specialist at Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America. He was ranked in the top 20 percent of the national sales force.
Mr. Norton’s first sales responsibilities were for Quintiles, where he started his career after obtaining an undergraduate degree in advertising from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Outside of work, he enjoys activities ranging from staying fit and hiking to traveling and drawing.
